YouTube Channel Banner Image Guidelines
To ensure that your image looks great and is consistent across all platforms, YouTube recommends your image be as follows:
- The image should be at a minimum resolution of 2048×1152 pixels and an aspect ratio of 16:9. It is easy to change the size of your image in case you require it.
- Ensure that the logo or text within the image isn’t cut out. Make sure to place the items within the image’s safe space of 1235 338 pixels.
- The image should be six or less in size.
After you have confirmed that your image complies with the above criteria, go ahead and have the image uploaded on your YouTube channel.
Replace Your YouTube Channel Banner on Desktop
If you’re using Windows, Mac, and Linux on your Windows, Mac, and Linux Chromebook computer, visit your computer’s YouTube Studio website to replace the banner you have already used with an entirely new banner.
Start by opening your preferred browser on the internet and then opening YouTube Studio. On the website, sign in to your account if you don’t have one yet.
In YouTube Studio’s sidebar, on the left side, scroll down and then click “Customization.”

Then, on the “Channel Customization” page, under the tabs to the right, click “Branding.”

Within the “Branding” tab, select the “Banner Image” section, and choose “Change.”

Navigate to the folder that contains your banner image. The standard “open” screen will pop up. And then double-click for uploading it onto YouTube.

YouTube will display a “Customize Banner Art” window. This window will let you know what your banner will appear on different gadgets. If this is pleasing to you, then, in the lower-right corner, press “Done.”

Return to your “Channel Personalization” page. You can bring the changes in by pressing “Publish” in the top-right corner.

Update Your YouTube Channel Banner on Mobile
To alter your banner’s image using the device of your iPhone, iPad, or Android phone, utilize YouTube. YouTube application.
Start the app YouTube from your smartphone. In the top-right corner of the app, click on your profile picture.

In the menu for your profile, Choose “Your Channel.”

On the channel’s home page, click an icon with a pencil to open edit tools.
