Realme GT Neo 3 review
Realme GT Neo 3 review 2022: Realme has returned with a brand new GT phone which promises to be a step ahead of the competition. GT Neo 3 GT Neo 3 has mid-range specs and features a sleek style that’s not unique; however, the race car-inspired banding design makes the phone stand out.
However, that’s not the point. Inside it has the top MediaTek Dimensity 8100, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 equivalent. It’s an impressive phone backed by a top-quality camera and display.
GT Neo 3 GT Neo 3 comes with the standard Realme packing, similar to the other Realme smartphones. The GT Neo 3 comes with a transparent silicone protective case SIM Ejector, 150W/80W charging depending on the model you select, and a charger USB Type C.
It is more robust and has a more robust feel than other charging cables. However, it comes in three colors: sprint white, nitro blue, and asphalt black. It is equipped with Dimensity 8100 chip. Like GT Neo 2, it offers a 120Hz 6.7-inch Full HD AMOLED display equipped with Gorilla Glass 5 protection, which means it’s less susceptible to scratches and more robust.
It comes with three cameras at the rear, including a 50MP primary cam with a Sony IMX766 sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 2MP macro camera.
The specifications and design are strikingly like that of the OnePlus 10R, which launched one day before. GT Neo 3. There is only one difference: in the OS, but the rest of the specs remain identical.
I’m running nitro blue with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. So far, I can say that GT Neo 3 can be described as an all-rounder because it excels in charging speeds and can play games smoothly, can last for a long time on batteries, and has a decent array of cameras. Review the review to know more about using it in greater detail.
Prices and availabilities
The Realme GT Neo 3 is available with 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. 12GB RAM and 256GB Internal storage.
GT Neo 3 GT Neo 3 will compete with mid-range phones, including the OnePlus 10R, the Xiaomi 11T Pro Hypercharge, and similar models.
Build and design
Realme GT Neo 3 Realme GT Neo 3 has a distinctive dual-tone back panel. Its two strips of white running across the back panel make it appear different from most smartphones. The back panel doesn’t collect fingerprints and makes it easy to hold, which is great for everyday use and gamers.
It is important to note that the black asphalt color doesn’t have a stripe on the rear. If you’re attracted to this color, ensure you look for it. The camera features a tiny bump that makes the phone move when set on an even surface; however, this is a regular feature on every phone these days.
The bezel surrounding the display is thicker than the norm and is great for gamers. One thing that I’ve been most impressed by is the weight distribution and its handy design. It weighs only 189g, which makes it a light device compared to the 6.7-inch phones of today.
The body feels solid and sturdy. Buttons and ports are easy to access and constructed of a decent material at a reasonable cost. The material is composed of several types of glass, which are believed to last longer than standard glass.
The phone is not equipped with IP certification. Therefore it isn’t able to score as high. It’s one of the few areas where Realme has taken shortcuts to keep costs low.
This Full HD+ AMOLED screen is crisp and bright, and the colors pop up just as you would expect. A 120Hz speed of refresh may not be as expected as it was. Still, it’s beneficial for more fluid scrolling, playing games, or watching videos.
The output of color is clear and precise, and the tactile response is pleasing. The benefits of these specs come in handy when gaming or multitasking. The graphics performance and responsiveness were impressive when playing games such as BGMI, Call of Duty: Mobile, Asphalt 9, and Shadow Fight 3.
It also does an excellent job of viewing angles and sunlight visibility. There’s plenty of brightness and many different preset modes to meet your requirements.
Performance and other features
Realme GT Neo 3 is the first smartphone available in India fitted with Density 8100’s 5G chip. It is equipped with 12GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB of storage. However, this phone’s no microSD slot comes with two micro-SIM slots, two stereo speakers, and two mics.
Realme GT Neo 3 comes in two versions one comes with a 150W UltraDart charger and a battery with 4500mAh capacity. Another variant has the 80W SuperDart charging. The phone comes with the Realme 3.0 UI built on the top Android 12. Android 12.
There’s a GT mode that claims to enhance your phone’s performance. However, I didn’t notice any improvement when it was in regular use. The phone has options, such as an accessible mode for larger images, text sizes, and larger fonts. Kid Space could be utilized to limit the kid’s application usage time.
The GT model is also activated when you start an application and promises to increase the processor’s clock speed; however, I didn’t notice anything significantly different in terms of performance compared to when I was not using this model. Furthermore, you receive low power mode and balanced mode that can boost the efficiency of your battery.
In terms of general performance, Density 8100 can do its job efficiently. GT Neo 3 has shown good performance. In multitasking or gaming, there was no lag or glitches. While playing graphics-intensive games, it was not slowed down.
The Realme GT Neo 3 features three cameras on the rear – an ultra-wide-angle camera with 64MP resolution, 8MP, and a 2MP macro camera. A front-facing camera of 16MP handles selfies.
The photos taken with the primary camera in daylight revealed many details and are worthy of sharing on social networking sites. If you’re skilled at photography, you can snap beautiful photographs.
The images look sharp and have an impressive dynamic range. Autofocus is fast, and it can handle light quite well in bright lighting conditions.
I’ve noticed a significant change in the color of the image in the switch from the primary camera and the ultra-wide-angle. Overall, it’s not to be criticized, but we’ve had better ultrawide cameras at similar price brackets. Night mode is quite efficient, as it offers a well-balanced exposure and excellent color tones for both cameras.
It has the possibility of 20x zoom; however, the results were satisfactory at 5x zoom, whereas 20x and 10x seem overkill regarding clarity.
The macro camera with 2MP resolution takes decent photos, but it needs the proper lighting to get a great image. If you’d like to get further away from the subject, you must go to the More menu to enable Ultra Macro mode. Ultra Macro is a great option. Ultra Macro does well, but it is vital to keep the subject in focus and hold your hand steady to get an accurate picture.
The front-facing camera’s 16MP resolution is not the most impressive and has plenty of potentials to improve. The photos are often overexposed, and the colors appear not at all natural. If you prefer more pronounced skin tones and smoothness, you may enjoy it.
The video quality during daylight and night is acceptable at the very best. It is possible to shoot HD at 60fps, 720p at 60fps, and 4K with 60fps. GT Neo 3 doesn’t offer any stabilization at these settings.
GT Neo 3 GT Neo 3 comes in two variations; as we mentioned earlier, The 80W version comes with a battery of 4500mAh, and the 150W model has 5000mAh. We’re using the former.
According to Realme, they claim it’s the fastest smartphone on the market, with 150W of power. When I tested it, the phone could charge a fully charged battery of 100% in just 17 mins.
The battery’s life is average, and I can say that Realme has utilized all its capacity to charge but not to increase the battery’s life. It’s not enough to last the entire day, even with medium or low use. I needed to connect it to charge before bed; however, it was ready to start with 100% battery quickly on the bright side. However, commuters or travelers might not get this benefit.
After using the Realme GT Neo 3 for about a week, it’s evident that this phone is a multi-tasker. It’s also true that it’s not the best in any department, other than charging. It’s a decent phone for the cost.
Still, suppose you’re seeking the top camera in the category or for the most excellent software experience. In that case, you may think about other options, such as those from the OnePlus 10R or the Xiaomi 11T Pro.
The ideal time to purchase it is in the first sale since it is currently offering massive discount offers for the first time. You can buy it for its power and speed of charging, the display, or striking design.
