Remove OTP from Google message: One-time passwords, commonly called OTPs, are fantastic for keeping your accounts secure. They require anyone who wants to sign in to an application or website to know their username and password.
They also give a one-time code generated by a trusted device. If you’ve ever received OTPs by text message and are aware of the dangers, they can get a lot more frequent and become a mess. However, Google has finally come up with an answer to this issue.
What’s the issue with OTPs?
OTPs are excellent. However, they are useless after being utilized (hence their name). If you’re constantly entering accounts using 2FA, you’ll often get the one-time passcodes.
Use them, then leave the text in place for all time. The most annoying thing about the plethora of useless codes is to delete them manually each time you log in to your account.

Google is rolling out new updates for its primary messaging application, Google Messages. The significant change in this update is the conversation categories, which use AI to divide the various threads of text into groups automatically.
These categories currently comprise “All,” showing you the entirety of your messages; “Personal,” which showcases your texts from your family and friends,
collects texts from work and professional contacts.
There’s a new feature in the update that’s not receiving much attention. If you click on “Message management,” you’ll see a new option to ” Auto-delete OTPs after 24 hours.” you have to do is turn on this feature. The 2FA codes are removed from your phone within 24 hours of receiving them.
Twenty-four hours are still quite generous. With 2FA, codes can only be used for a brief period, usually minutes rather than hours. If you don’t input the code within the timeframe, it will expire, and you have to create a new code for the next time.
But at the very least, in the next few hours, the code you created will be taken off your phone and ready to make way for the next one and the next one.

This feature, along with the whole category feature for conversations, isn’t fully implemented yet. So, you’ll have to wait until it’s ready to arrive on your device. To test you’re on the right track, download the latest version of Google Messages from the Play Store or download the app via APK Mirror.
