YouTube Music make a few enhancements in the algorithm for radio that display more artists. Additionally, it adds new features like Family OS and Wears OS Shuffle.
These new features are elements of Google’s plan improvements added to YouTube Music in February and March. With the latest changes, choosing a song in search results will play only the song you have selected.

YouTube Music also confines Family listening to a brand new family shelf. The Listen Again shelf on YouTube Music will no longer show duplicates.
YouTube Music Wear OS YouTube Music Wear OS app allows you to play and shuffle the music you have downloaded. Recent reports also indicate that YouTube plans to enhance the ability to download and play podcasts on its platform.
As per the YouTube Music team, the “back-end algorithm that determines the music that is displayed” within Song Radio and playlist auto mixes has been improved to display more artists and songs.
Following the update of the radio algorithms, YouTube claims it has noticed an increase in the number of likes and song discovery through Song Radio and playlist auto mixes. The team is looking to improve the algorithm further in the coming months.
YouTube Improves and adds brand new features to YouTube Music.
The new improvements in YouTube Music are a part of Google’s plans to make improvements for YouTube Music in February and March. The YouTube Music team.
However, YouTube Music said that it has made improvements to the “back-end algorithm” that decides on the music to be played” on Song Radio to “increase artist variety in the playlists.” This means choosing a song found in search results will only play the track instead of creating an actual radio station. You can still choose to enable Autoplay in your Up Next queue.
Additionally, YouTube also details how Android YouTube Music users would have the ability to save queues of songs to an existing playlist. This feature has been available for YouTube Music iOS users since January.
Other updates and enhancements announced on YouTube include a brand new Family Shelf that is programmed with playlists and a customized Family Mix.
Suppose you typically listen to music suitable for your entire family. In that case, you’ll have access to an updated ‘For the Family’ shelf, which includes the Family mix as the primary playlist you can stream from YouTube’s home page.
Furthermore, for users of Wear OS, YouTube Music now allows users to shuffle their downloads, which is a change from the past when users were restricted to ordering albums and could play shuffle playlists.
